Castle La Crosse is located in the historic Holway Mansion of La Crosse, Wisconsin. This spectacular residence is lovingly known as the "Castle." Notice the fine architectural details including its all-stone exterior. Designed in Queen Anne with Richardson Romanesque details for Mr. Holway in 1892, Castle La Crosse is the best-preserved example of high-style late 19th century residential architecture in the region.
Castle La Crosse is a stunning Bed and Breakfast featuring numerous bedroom suites with private luxury baths. Detailed woodwork, finely carved fireplaces, detailed stained-glass windows, and so much more decorate this historic property. Fine furnishings, rugs, artwork, and speciality objects were carefully selected for this residence by the innkeepers for the enjoyment of our guests.
Castle La Crosse features four large guest suites, each with their own private baths. The rooms are named for the exquisite woods used throughout the home. Enjoy The Oak Suite, Walnut Suite, Maple Suite, or the Birch Suite.
Breakfast is included in your stay at the Castle. Enjoy a fresh, hot, delicious breakfast each morning. Coffee and tea are available bright and early in the Dining Room. Our certified Pastry Chef creates each breakfast daily for all guests!

Castle La Crosse features a breakfast for the senses. We work to create a menu that includes contemporary flavors with old-world traditions. We strive to provide a well-balanced variety and thought-out recipes that reflect current tastes and lifestyles. We serve breakfast daily at 9:00 am. Hot beverages are available starting at 7:00 am. Breakfast Delivery may be added to your stay for a nominal fee.
All our entrees and dishes are made from eggs and meat products provided by a local family-owned farm in Houston, MN and from other surrounding farms. Produce and other products are sourced from the La Crosse Farmers Market in season, from the People's Food Co-op, and from other community members. We challenge ourselves to find the freshest, most sustainable and in-season products for all our made-from-scratch breakfasts.
